Father Edward Estok

Fr. Edward Estok was appointed the 3^rd pastor of St. Albert the Great Parish by Bishop Lennon on June 15, 2009. Ordained in 1985, Fr. Estok has served many parishes and held a number of diocesan roles as shown below:

• Parochial Vicar, St. Bridget Church, Parma, from January 29, 1985 to June 16, 1988
• Team Ministry member at St. Monica Church in Garfield Heights from June 16, 1988 to May 1, 1995
• Coordinator of St. Monica's Team, May 1, 1995 to July 5, 1996
• Parochial Vicar, St. William, Euclid, July 5, 1996 to June 17, 1997
• Director of Continuing Education and Formation of Ministers, in residence at St. Dominic, Shaker Heights, from June 17, 1997 to June 8, 2004
• Administrative Assistant to the Bishop, in residence at Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, from July 1, 2000 to June 15, 2009
• Administrator, Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist from April 11, 2002 to August 3, 2004
• Rector, Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist from August 3, 2004 to June 15, 2009
• Auditor/Assessor, Tribunal, 1988

In addition to the various assignments listed above, Fr. Estok has shared his faith with many other parishes, diocesan offices, and religious communities through large-group missions, days of recollection, and ministry training events.

 

Fr. Estok was born in 1958 and grew up in Bedford, OH. He attended Bedford High School and Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH where he majored in Political Science and Spanish (including a year's study at the Universidad de Sevilla, Spain). After receiving his Master of Divinity degree from St. Mary Seminary he completed his Master of Arts degree in the area of biblical
