Parish Service Day 2024 – Thank You! We are always blown away by your generosity and spirit of giving, and this year was no exception! Whether you served hot meals, cleaned beloved parishioners' gravesites, sewed blankets for hospice patients, played Bingo with nursing home residents, or so much more: THANK YOU! Our 11th Annual Parish Service Day saw 1,975 sign-ups at 108 project sites across the Cleveland area. Together, we served over 1,300 meals from the St. Albert the Great kitchens, which will go to women’s crisis centers, homeless shelters, and inner-city hunger programs. Our efforts spanned far and wide:
Tackling poverty through work at the Greater Cleveland Foodbank, Habitat for Humanity Restore, and Westside Catholic Center
Planting trees at the National Park, cleaning gravestones , and preparing firewood at Richfield Heritage Preserve
Visiting 25 nursing homes and care centers, sharing crafts, Bingo, and smiles
We also sent crews to clean and restore several churches, including our own St. Albert the Great and the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. While these acts of kindness won't erase hunger, loneliness, or poverty, they offer something just as important: hope. Through every warm meal, clean yard, blanket, and shared moment, we extend Jesus’ love and mercy to those who need it most. Thank you for making this day unforgettable. We are truly blessed to be part of the St. Albert the Great community!
