Over the months since March, many refinements have been made to the original master plan that was published. We hope to make those plans available here in this column over the next few weeks of our Capital Campaign called "Building Faith".
The site plan has been refined significantly, especially on the back portion of the property (closer to Royalwood Road). The most significant adjustment is the relocation of the Storm Water Management pond from its current location down toward Royalwood Road. That move required the very nice enhancement of a new centered driveway from Roaylwoodinto the heart of our property.
The first site plan had the SWM pond remaining where it was, the addition of a second pond in the middle of the property, and the playing fields moved down along Roaylwood Road. With this new location and the creation of a single, larger SWM pond has made room for the playing fields right in the center of the parish property. This will improve the views from inside the Great Hall, and improve our traffic flow and the closeness of traffic to our neighbors.
The majority of the site plan surrounding the New Parish Life Center and the Church is unchanged from the original plan. These creative improvements to our plan are a result of the due diligence our subcommittee is making and the involvement and consultation with the contractors who have agreed to accomplish this work in the best and most economical way possible. I appreciate everyone's input and support. The plans for our parish renewal project have been developed in conversation with City engineers and diocesan building commission members as well. All of this will contribute to the best possible result for St. Albert, and North Royalton, and the Diocese of Cleveland.
