Secondly, the school programs, day school/PSR students, now require much more "large group activity". Currently, all of those large group events have to be scheduled in the Large Hall of the Church building. That involves the movement of day school and PSR children from one building to another, often through the elements, the dark (PSR), threats (either accidental or malicious) crossing the traffic circle with its blind corners around the current parish office. During the daytime hours, such activities in the church hall often prevent the church ministry of bereavement luncheons which many families are so hoping for. In the new Parish Life Center, connected to the school building, all of our students will have safe and appropriate large group space for: activity days, science fair, school retreat activity, confirmation meetings, school play practice/performance, and many more. A third and biggest benefit for our children (day school and PSR) will be the redesigned driveways, traffic and parking. All children will dropped off out of the passenger side car-door onto the sidewalk in front of school, removing the dangerous current practice of crossing over traffic and walking in between cars. Fourth, the pick up/drop off traffic (six times daily and eight times on Mondays) will be safely and conveniently separated from church traffic by a new exclusive church entrance and the creation of 150 reserved and handicapped accessible parking spaces. Our children are our most precious commodity in life and church. Our Building Faith proposal will secure them in safe, accommodating, and educationally and artistically appropriate space as they grow here at St. Albert the Great. Thanks for your questions
